Tarot Tuesday, 10-6-15

Today's card drawn is the Six of Cups.

The Six of Cups is a card referring to childhood, nostalgia, old memories, innocent happiness, and generosity.  You may be feeling a desire to return to the happy memories of your past.  It is fun to re-live old memories as long as you are not living in the past.  It is important to always live in the present.  Acceptance of your current situation is important.

If you are recovering from a recent unpleasant event, it can be therapeutic to look back on happy memories and all the good that lies there.  During your time of reflection, be sure to focus on the positive energy from your past and not the negative.  Bring that positive energy from your past into your present and your future.

This card could indicate a visit to old stomping grounds.  You may visit the place where you grew up, your hometown or your school.  Perhaps a high school reunion is coming up or an old friend has resurfaced in your life.  This is also a good time to spend a little time with younger people.

The Six of Cups sometimes points to your inner child.  Keep your inner child close at hand and be sure you are caring for that inner child.  Working with your inner child can help you find a new joy and energy.  This is a good time to be playful and spontaneous.  Your inner child is creative and intuitive.  Be sure to give that child the nurture it needs.

Finally, the Six of Cups could be referring to the children in your life.  It can point to a pregnancy, birth or adoption.  Or it could mean that you are going to be spending more time with young children.  Remember that we can learn from children, too.  When this card appears, it means that children are good role models to follow right now.  Do your best to see the goodness in the world around you.

This is a very joyful, happy card.  It represents your happy memories in the past, your present and all its gifts, and the future which is wide-open and full of opportunities.  You may receive (or have received) a gift or some sort of generous gesture.  If you feel the spirit of giving, pay it forward.  Do a random act of kindness for someone else.  Be open to sharing what you have.

Remember, if you want to get a reading in person, join us at the Harris Haven Funeral Home Haunted House in Evansdale this Friday and Saturday evening in the gypsy wagon.  We will be reading from 7:00 until at least 10:00, maybe later, each night!  No extra charge for readings, but we do accept tips.  Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday, go do a random act of kindness, and check back tomorrow for Witchy Wednesday.
